Living biography

Cole grew up in Timmins, the kind of northern town where everyone's grandfather worked the mines and everyone's mother kept a wood stove going year-round. He left for Toronto at 19, came back at 27 with a marriage that didn't last and a daughter who lives eight hours south. He sees Maddie one weekend a month. He's the second son, the family historian by accident, and the only one who still calls his mother every Sunday

Cole's vault is private. Only the people he's invited see what's inside. When his time comes, it transforms — the stories, the photos, the voice — staying exactly where he left them.

When the time comes

Your vault doesn't end with you. It opens.

You decide who gets what. The letters for your kids. The voice recordings for your spouse. The memoir for your grandchildren. The will, the letter of wishes, the documents that need to reach the right hands. When your trusted guardians confirm — Capsulated delivers everything you set up, exactly the way you wanted. Then your vault transforms into a memorial. Permanent. Untouchable. The candle stays lit forever.

You build

While you're here. Stories. Photos. Voice. Letters. Private documents — including the will your lawyer drafted.

It activates

When your trusted guardians confirm your passing. Content and documents delivered to the right people, exactly as you set them up.

It becomes a memorial

Forever. Untouchable. The people who loved you visit. Light a candle. Leave a tribute. Your story stays exactly where you left it.

Your story doesn't end. It opens.

Capsulated stores and delivers your documents. We don't draft your will — your lawyer does. We make sure it reaches the right hands.

What's inside

Built for every part of a life worth remembering.

Seven pieces that work together — quiet, careful, and made to last.

The summer the lake froze early...
That was the year Dad finally took me out on the ice in November, even though Mom thought it was too soon. The water under the ice was so dark it looked black. He let me drill the first hole. I remember my hands burning from the cold and his quiet pride when I didn't quit. He said the lake teaches you patience, that anything worth waiting for is worth doing right. He died the following March. I still go out every November. I still drill the first hole.

Your Vault

Photos, videos, voice recordings, memoirs, and documents — kept private, kept yours, kept safely off the social-media treadmill.

— Where every photo finds its forever.

Most people would tell their stories. They just need someone to ask.

Hundreds of life story questions, waiting in your vault. Answer one when something reminds you. Skip the ones you're not ready for. Come back to them in five years when you are. Your father might answer ten in a weekend. Your grandmother might answer one a month for the rest of her life. There's no deadline. There's no end.

Storyworth emails you one question a week, then prints a book and stops. Capsulated has hundreds of questions, no schedule, and no ending.

— The questions worth asking. On your time.

Sit down with the AI. Tell it your story.

Pick a topic. Pick 20 minutes or 40. Get on camera. Capsulated's AI conducts a real conversation — listening, following up, asking the questions a thoughtful interviewer would ask. The result lives in your vault forever — not just the answers, but you saying them. Your face. Your voice. Your hesitations. The whole human.

Question 3 of 12

If Maddie asked you in twenty years why you came back to Timmins, what would you tell her?

5 min in · 35 to go

— The interview your kids deserve. Recorded by you, before you forget the answer.

Generating
Cole was the second son of a Timmins miner who never raised his voice and a Métis mother who could quiet a room with one. He learned to chop wood at seven, fix engines at fourteen, and leave at nineteen — though only one of those skills served him outside the north. He came back at twenty-seven with a marriage that had already ended in everything but paperwork, a daughter he was determined not to disappoint, and an understanding that the things he'd run from were the things worth keeping. He measures time by which dog he has — Bear from his teens, Otis through the divorce, and now Henley, who follows him from room to room

AI Living Biography

Capsulated's AI reads everything you put in your vault — your stories, your voice recordings, the life story questions you've answered, your memoirs, your timeline. It writes a living biography that grows every time you add something. The way you would tell your story, not the way an algorithm would summarize it. No two visits to your profile are the same. No version is final. Because neither are you.

— Ask your grandfather what he regrets. Before you can't.

Time Capsules

Letters, voice notes, and videos that stay sealed until the moment you choose. A graduation. A wedding. A goodbye.

— A letter to a future you may never meet.

Inner Circle

The friend who actually shows up. The mentor who took the time. The chosen family who chose you back. Whether you've known them thirty years or three. Capsulated is for the people who matter — not the ones you added once and never spoke to again.

— Some bonds aren't on the family tree. They still belong in the vault.

Why we exist

Your memories are not the product. They're the point.

Every other platform you've ever used was designed for someone else's gain — your attention sold, your photos mined, your face in someone's training set.

Capsulated is the opposite. You pay us a small annual fee, and in exchange we protect what you put inside. No ads, no resale, no AI training, no algorithm. Ever.

This isn't a clever business model. It's the only honest one for a product that asks you to trust it with your loved ones' history.

No Ads

Not now. Not later. Not ever — even on the free viewer tier.

Your Data

Encrypted at rest and in transit. Never sold. Never used for AI training.

Stored Forever

Built on infrastructure designed for permanence — redundantly mirrored.

No Toxic

No likes. No engagement metrics. No algorithm deciding who matters.

Parents In Control

Family connects freely. But when someone outside the family tree wants to reach your child, it goes through you first. Not an algorithm. Not a moderator. You.

Real, not curated.

No filters built in. No beautification on by default. No "enhanced for clarity." Capsulated stores what actually happened — wrinkles, weather, bad lighting and all. Your real life is the legacy. Not the version of it that performs well.

For families

The only network where parents are actually in charge.

Family is safe by design. The people you've added to your family tree connect freely — they're already trusted by you. But when an Inner Circle invite comes for a child — friends, mentors, anyone outside the tree — it goes through the parent first.

The parent sees who's asking. The parent decides. Strangers can't befriend your kids. Period.

Questions, answered

The honest FAQ.

Death & legacy

What happens to my vault when I die?
Your vault transitions into a memorial. Your designated Inner Circle is notified, and after a confirmation window, your full legacy unlocks for the people you chose. Time capsules continue to release on the dates you set. Nothing disappears.
How does Capsulated know I've passed?
Two paths. The first is an inactivity timer — if you stop signing in for an extended period, your Inner Circle is asked to confirm. The second is a death certificate upload, which skips the waiting period. You're always in control of which path applies.
Can I leave specific memories for specific people?
Yes. Every memory, memoir, and time capsule can be addressed to one person, a few people, or everyone. A letter for your daughter's wedding, a voice note for your son on his first day of school — each can wait for its moment.
What if I never named a trusted contact?
Your vault stays sealed and safe. After an extended inactivity window with no Inner Circle to confirm, Capsulated will reach out to next-of-kin paths you provided at signup. We never auto-publish. Silence is the safe default.

Connection

How does the family tree actually work?
Blood relatives share one tree. Spouses connect as bridges between trees. You're always centered on your own — every relationship is described from your point of view. Add a parent, sibling, or child, and they receive an invite to claim their place.
Can I connect with someone outside my tree?
Yes — through Inner Circle. A close friend, a chosen sibling, a partner you haven't yet married. Inner Circle access is granted by you, accepted by them, and revocable at any time.
What's the Inner Circle?
A small group of people you grant access to your vault — often relatives, sometimes a chosen friend. They can view what you've made public to them, contribute memories, and act as confirmation in the unlikely event your inactivity timer is triggered.

Practical

Where is my data stored?
On Cloudflare's global object storage, with redundant mirroring. Files are encrypted at rest and in transit. We never train AI models on your content, never sell it, and never share it with third parties.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Anytime, from your billing settings. Cancelling stops future charges. Your vault stays intact — read-only — and the people you've invited can still view what you've already preserved. You can resume any time.
What happens to free viewers?
Viewers are always free. They can watch, listen, comment, and contribute memories to other people's vaults — they just can't create their own without a paid plan. We never charge someone to watch their parent's stories.
How do I get started?
Sign up, add your first photo, write your first memory. We'll walk you through building your tree at your own pace. Most people start with three or four photos and a single voice note — it grows naturally from there.

Your story is already happening.

Capsulated is where it gets remembered. Begin today — they will be here, eventually, looking for it.
